AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEMS

A Q-VAC automatic priming system maintains a vacuum between preset limits by utilizing a vacuum switch or pressure transducer, depending on system type.   When the vacuum level reaches the low set point, a vacuum pump will turn on.  When the upper set point is reached the vacuum pump will turn off, provided the minimum run timer has been satisfied.   In a duplex system, if the vacuum level continues to decay when one pump is running, a second pump will turn on and the priming system’s low vacuum alarm will trigger.   It is important to note that a priming system operates independently from the pumps being primed, however a prime is maintained on every pump connected to the priming system at all times.

Standard controls for Q-VAC duplex automatic priming systems include a micro-processing controller, pressure transducer, automatic alternation, lead/lag control, frequent start protection, hour meters, run lights, and alarms with dry contacts for remote monitoring.   The priming system includes alarms for signaling low vacuum and high water level in the air receiver.

Standard Automatic System Models:
